Our veterinarians rely on blood work for a number of different reasons. For example, they may recommend blood tests during a routine checkup, before administering anaesthesia or when conducting a diagnostic exam.

How long does it take to get bloodwork results?

Clinique vétérinaire Cowansville performs most blood tests in our large on-site laboratory. We are typically able to give you your pet’s results in under an hour. In these cases, we send blood samples to pathologists at external laboratories for testing. Please allow between 24 to 48 hours to get these test results.

Are blood tests painful for my pet?
